How it began...
Loquiwell was created from a simple belief: organisations perform best when their people thrive.
Throughout our careers, we witnessed the full spectrum of leadership and people management. We saw organisations where people felt valued, supported and motivated to succeed. We also saw environments where employees were treated as positions on an organisational chart rather than individuals with unique strengths, challenges and potential.
For decades, businesses have evolved from traditional Personnel functions to modern Human Resources departments. Yet many organisations still separate performance, development and wellbeing into different conversations. At the same time, leadership development and training budgets are often among the first investments to be reduced when organisations face pressure—despite the critical role they play in long-term success.
Through leadership roles, organisational change programmes and company acquisitions, we repeatedly observed the same pattern. Organisations that invested in understanding, developing and supporting their people achieved stronger performance, better retention, healthier cultures and more sustainable growth. Those that overlooked the human side of business often paid a significant price.
Years in the making
When Nick Ryan and Maria Palmer began working together, they recognised a shared conviction: people and performance are not competing priorities—they are inseparable.
